CBIC has recently launched CIP, a facilitation tool, to lessen the woes of importers and exporters in respect of Custom related compliance matters. The weblink to the aforementioned portal is www.cip.icegate.gov.in/CIP.
It will assist in eliminating the ordeal of export/ import in the following manner:
- Access to the addresses of regulatory agencies and their websites.
- Tracing of custom seaports, airports, land custom stations, etc.
- Free access to up-to-date information related to custom procedures and regulatory compliances for items falling under custom tariff headings, like license, certificates, etc.
- Information on legal and procedural aspects of Customs and Partner Government Agencies like FSSAI, AQIS, etc.
Efforts have been made to ensure the comprehensive nature of the portal. Therein, the information available will also be relevant for import & export through posts, import of samples, etc.
